Founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of New Jersey, Georgian Court University is located in residential Lakewood, New Jersey, on a magnificent 155-acre estate formerly belonging to Railroad Baron George Jay Gould. The campus is conveniently situated 60 miles from New York and Philadelphia and only 10 miles from the beautiful Jersey Shore. Bordering Lake Carasaljo, the site is a National Historic Landmark with magnificent statuary, beautiful architecture and lush gardens, making it a truly breathtaking and inspiring place to learn, study and live.
Open to students of all faiths, Georgian Court University provides comprehensive liberal arts education in the Roman Catholic tradition with a special concern for women. The university offers a curriculum that is broad enough to be truly liberal, yet specialized enough to provide in-depth preparation for careers or further study.

Georgian Court University offers degrees and certificates in a wide range of areas in two colleges:

The Women’s College allows women to develop leadership qualities not often found on coeducational campuses, as evidenced by the overwhelming number of leading American women who have graduated from a women's college or university.
Financial aid is any scholarship, grant, loan or job offered to the applicant student to help meet educationally related expenses. Most aid is awarded for a first bachelors degree. Eligible students may be funded through a combination called a financial aid package. Awards are based on financial need, which is the difference between the familys ability to contribute to the students education and the cost of attending college.
A students application for financial aid is processed once the student is accepted to Georgian Court. Upon acceptance, a students financial aid application is reviewed for eligibility |
