Descrizione dell'università (origine: sito web ufficiale dell'università)
2007 marked the 50th anniversary of Bronx Community College which was established in 1957 after a decade of effort by civic-minded groups in Bronx County to meet the growing need for increased higher education facilities in the “Borough of Universities and Progress.”
At BCC there is a wide variety of Degree and Certificate Programs in majors as diverse as Health Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Community, Legal and Social Services, and the Liberal Arts and Sciences, taught by a caring, nurturing faculty whose sole priority is your academic and professional growth. Most of these majors are easily transferable to four-year colleges, which makes BCC an affordable and realistic first step to a Bachelor’s or even graduate degree.
Bronx Community College provides a comprehensive program of financial assistance to students totaling over $18 million annually. Programs of scholarship, grant, employment and loan are available for students from federal, state, institutional and private sources.
Federal and state financial aid requires demonstrated financial need through the Federal need analysis process. All grant, loan and work-study applicants need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year to determine eligibility for need-based financial aid programs. A financial aid application is not necessary if applying for a scholarship only. |
