Hofstra University has more than 140 undergraduate and 150 graduate programs, in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Business, Communication, Education and Allied Human Services and Honors studies, as well as a School of Law. The student-faculty ratio is 14 to 1.
Bachelor's degrees offered in about 140 undergraduate programs of study. Graduate degrees are offered, including M.B.A, M.F.A., PhD., Ed. D., Psy.D., Au.D. and J.D. degrees, advanced certificates and professional diplomas, in about 155 graduate programs of study.
At Hofstra, you'll have all the resources you need - excellent library resources with extensive online and print collections, state-of-the-art classrooms, learning and laboratory facilities, and extensive wired and wireless Internet access, including the only Internet2 connection among private colleges on Long Island.
More than 89 percent of Hofstra's students will receive financial aid, take advantage of different payment options, or participate in the parent loan program. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only required application for financial aid. The federal formula is used to determine eligibility for financial aid, but you must reapply each year you are seeking assistance. We encourage you to file online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov to speed the process.
Scholarships are generally awarded by Hofstra and other organizations for academic or other merit. When you apply for admission, your academic credentials are evaluated for scholarships. As you continue through your program with the University, scholarships are possible based on academic excellence. |
