| Scholarships or student grants program description |
All students who apply to Franklin & Marshall are considered for scholarship; therefore, no separate application is required. We do encourage applicants to submit supplemental materials in support of consideration for recognition. Students will be notified of any merit scholarships received upon admission to Franklin & Marshall.
Each year the College seeks to enroll more than 500 students of diverse academic talents, extracurricular involvement, and personal qualities. Every applicant to the College is automatically considered for a scholarship. Comparative standing within a very competitive applicant pool, and not a prescribed GPA or standardized test score, determines who will receive scholarships.
The William H. Gray Jr. Scholarship provides need-based financial aid to outstanding students from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Gray Scholars are chosen on the basis of potential for achievement as demonstrated by academic strength, leadership ability, and strong moral character. The financial aid package for Gray Scholars minimizes loan and job expectations over the course of four years.
The Gray Scholarship may be offered in combination with the Marshall Scholarship. Recipients must be United States citizens or permanent residents.
