The Scholarship and Placement
The FMC Technologies Scholarship offers the following:
* A bursary of £1,750 for each of the final 2 years of an approved degree programme
* Full time employment for vocational placements
* IMechE mentors assigned to support learning outcomes from vocational placements
* Opportunity for employment following successful assessment and attainment of academic qualification
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be engaged in full-time study at RGU on one of the following degree programmes and be due to start their 3rd year.
* MEng Mechanical Engineering
* BSc (Eng) with honours Mechanical Engineering
* BEng (Hons)/MEng Mechanical Engineering
* BEng (Hons)/MEng Mechanical and Offshore Engineering
* BEng (Hons)/MEng Mechanical and Energy Engineering
* BEng (Hons)/MEng Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Selection Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and personal characteristics.
The selection process begins with students completing the online application form.
All applications shall be reviewed by a panel of FMC Technologies and RGU representatives and a short list of candidates selected. The candidates will then be invited to attend an FMC Technologies assessment day with an informal interview session as part of the final selection process.
FMC Technologies scholars will be required to attain satisfactory academic reports at the end of each semester and also perform well during vocational placements.
